EMERGE, LEADING CZECH AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLIER, EXPANDS TO MLADÁ BOLESLAV

The growing company Emerge, which currently employs more than 800 employees, belongs to the TIER 1 automotive suppliers category. It is thus part of the most important article of the automotive supply chain. For this reason, the company decided to expand into modern premises within CTPark Mladá Boleslav, where it will occupy a total of 18.413 sq m of modern industrial premises. The strategic location of this industrial park ensures optimal connection to the Škoda Auto production plants.

The production hall will be equipped with state-of-the-art welding robots and molding equipment, taking into account Emerge's specialization in welding, pressing or machining. Production in the plant will also be complemented by logistic background.

"The decision to extend the company's activities to the Mladá Boleslav site is based on the requirement to increase production capacity. This site is key to us in terms of traffic efficiency in relation to our customers," says Jan Ramzer, Strategic Project Manager at Emerge a.s.

Automotive production is still a key segment in Czechia. According to data published by the Automotive Industry Association, a total of 1.4 million vehicles were produced in 2017, with sector sales rising by more than 7 % in year to year comparison. The share of sales in the total industrial production of Czechia was 24.4 %. Also, the number of employees has grown by 6 %, with employees in the supply chain accounting for more than 60 % of all employees in the automotive sector. The summary statistics also show that in 2017 the country became the 2nd largest producer of passenger cars per capita.

The interest of automotive companies in production and logistics spaces is also confirmed by Michal Barthell, Senior consultant of 108 AGENCY, who advised Emerge in the transaction: "Multiple leading automotive suppliers are getting in touch with us, as they have to sort out the spatial insufficiency of their existing warehouses or production facilities and therefore seek further expansion. Last year we cooperated with Bosal, MD Elektronik, for example Hyundai Glovis, the ZF and many others, " says Michal Barthell.

CTPark Mladá Boleslav represents a modern warehouse and production area, which upon completion will provide the tenants with more than 70.000 sq m of lettable space. Its location within easy reach of the D10 motorway provides optimal transport links to Germany and other European markets, as well as the excellent availability of the Škoda Auto factory in the immediate vicinity.
