108 AGENCY Launches a New Start-Up Called The Prostor

Real estate consultancy 108 AGENCY has launched a start-up project offering short-term leases of unique premises with the distinctive name The Prostor (which means The Space). It responds to the demand of businesses, particularly in the industries such as retail, advertising and event production, to provide their customers with an unforgettable experience in an exceptional environment. Compared to a presentation in the online world, interesting spaces - such as galleries, refurbished industrial buildings and other unique locations –enable direct contact between customers and the brand and evoke emotions.

Dušan Hříbal, who leads The Prostor within the 108 AGENCY, says: "People working in advertising and retail are constantly seeking activities to distinguish their brand from others. The online world is ever-present and e-commerce is growing year-on-year. At the same time we monitor the effort to present the brand uniquely and unrepeatably. Experiential marketing is aimed to enable the customer to perceive the product with all senses in a unique environment."

The Prostor now offers dozens of properties that are located in almost all Prague's city districts. These include unique gallery spaces, renovated industrial halls, houseboats and atypical conference rooms. The range is from 10 m2 to 5,000 m2 and can be rented for a day or several months. Jakub Holec, partner of 108 AGENCY, adds: "Our inspiration was the portal www.thestorefront.com, we have agreed to cooperate and to offer suitable space to foreign brands for their presentation in Prague. The so-called pop-up stores have become a standard for global brands, and I see great scope for their expansion on the Czech market as well."

Pop-up stores are typically used by brands that are testing the market, or brands that are established and just want to promote new collections or series of their products. These are often clothing, footwear, electronics, designer furniture and cars. This option is also practiced by e-commerce stores that allow customers to test their products and newly marketed product lines in temporary pop-up stores. The goal is to surprise the customer, to mediate contact with the brand and to promote the presentation and sale of the goods. The brands that currently use www.thestorefront.com include Nike, Nestlé, Sony or L'Oreal.

Dušan Hříbal from The Prostor concludes: "I believe that thesprostor.cz will also be appreciated by the production, event and advertising agencies that regularly search for interesting, unusual places. Everyone who has ever held a social event knows how difficult it is to attract and surprise some people today, so we want to meet this demand."
